Hello! I am planning my 3rd trip to Disney World in January but when I was there this past January, Friar's Nook in Magic Kingdom was closed. Is it always open seasonally? Would you have a list of all other seasonal food spots at Walt Disney World?

Hello, hello there, Candace! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I'm delighted to see you here!

According to the friendly Cast Member I just spoke to, The Friar's Nook is, indeed, a seasonal quick-service location. It is usually open during busier times of the year in order to help with the crowds, but it could (and often does!) open during slower seasons too. It all depends on crowd management, so I would still stop by the restaurant to ask if I were you! You could also take a look at the restaurant's calendar through the Walt Disney World Resort website, which will let you check availability up to 60 days in advance.

Candace, there are a couple other seasonal locations at the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. At Magic Kingdom Park, they are Aunt Polly's Dockside Inn, Tomorrowland Terrace, and The Friar's Nook. The other three Theme Parks only have one seasonal location each. At EPCOT, it's Pizza al Taglio, the Via Napoli pizza window. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, it's the Caravan Road, and at Disney's Hollywood Studios, it's the Sunshine Day Bar.

Outside the Theme Parks, the seasonal locations include the Vivoli il Gelato Riviera Cart at Disney's Riviera Resort, the Chuck Wagon Fresh Fixins Food Truck at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and the Turtle Shack at Disney's Old Key West Resort. As you can see, there really aren't that many seasonal food locations throughout the Resort! I can assure you that your vacation will be as delicious as you imagine!

If you have any other questions, you know where to find us! Have a magical day, Candace. See you real soon!

    Warm hugs,
