Hiya, Carol, and welcome to planDisney!
Hip, hip, hooray for starting the Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning journey! The magical options are endless, and even as someone who is local to the Disney Parks in Florida, I still haven’t seen everything that there is to do here. So, let’s get into how you can dive deeper into each attraction that you could experience during your visit.
First things first, the attractions range from super thrilling to easy-going. All four theme parks have a mix of these attraction types, so you’ll find something that fits your wants no matter where you go.
The best and most up-to-date list of attractions is on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Visit the website and select “Things To Do” and then
“Attractions and Entertainment.” There, you’ll find an entire alphabetical list of attractions at the Resort. I recommend that you use the filters at the top of the page to organize your results. There’s even a dropdown box to filter by theme park.
You can also use the
My Disney Experience App to view all attractions at the four theme parks and beyond. Once you’ve opened the mobile app, select the map icon at the bottom of the page. At the top of the map, you’ll find a drop-down to select a category. Choose “Attractions.” If you’d like to see a listed view, select “Show List.” Here, too, you’ll see filters to help narrow down what you need.
AN EXTRA GEM: I strongly recommend that you check out the
Hours and Events Calendar before your visit to make sure that your must-do attractions aren’t on the “Closed for Refurbishment” list. On a visit to Disneyland Paris a few years ago, I didn’t follow my own advice and was sad to see that Phantom Manor (similar to the
Haunted Mansion) was closed for refurbishment.
Carol, if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions, please
revisit us here at planDisney. Any one of the panelists will be more than happy to help you. See you real soon!
Magic always,
LeAndra
