Hey there Renee,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! I'm thrilled to hear you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort later this year - the
Holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit!
Currently, there are two different options for
standard theme park tickets. There are tickets for those ages 10+ or tickets for those ages 3-9. As you mentioned, children younger than age 3 don't need a ticket, but anyone 3 or older should have a ticket during your visit. This would include if they turn 3 during your visit. I hope that helps!
Since you'll be visiting during the Holiday season, make sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as you get closer to your trip to hear more about all the fun things that'll be happening around the Happiest Place on Earth during your visit. In previous years, there have been special holiday-themed
nighttime spectaculars and
parades as well as delicious treats and drinks!
My family and I visited during the Holiday season in 2022 and our little ones were so excited to explore
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail where there were art stations to color and write letters to Santa. Then we got to take a picture with Santa, which is still one of our favorite pictures. I'm hopeful he returns to Redwood Creek Challenge Trail again this year!
Thanks again for your question, Renee! I hope you enjoy your visit to the Disneyland Resort later this year.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
