Hiya Moriah,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.
I have had questions from Guests about payment plans regarding a
Magic Key or a
Disneyland Resort Vacation Package. Since I am not sure to which you are referring, I am happy to answer for both!
Guests can book a hotel stay and
theme park tickets together in a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package!
Vacation packages booked through the Disneyland Resort website for visits more than 30 days out will ask for a $200 deposit to be paid at the time of booking, according to the
Terms and Conditions. This deposit reserves the room and tickets for your visit. When your visit is 30 days out, the Disneyland Resort will send you a reminder to pay the rest of the package. At that time, you can choose to pay off the rest of the vacation package or cancel the package with no penalty. There is no formal option to set up an automatic payment plan, but Guests are free to make payments towards the balance online at their own schedule, as long as the remaining balance is paid before the 30-day mark. So feel free to set up a personal payment plan to follow up until 30 days before your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
As a California resident, you have the option of monthly payments when you purchase a Magic Key. However, I’m sorry to inform you that at this time, the sale of new Magic Keys at the
Disneyland Resort is paused, and current Magic Key pass holders can only renew their current Magic Keys. I encourage you to follow the
Disney Parks Blog and
@DisneylandMagicKey, as these sites will have the most reliable and up-to-date information on Magic Keys and other park updates.
If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
