Hello we are planning to stay from the 29th Dec 2025 to the 2nd of Jan 2026. We would like to know if you need to purchase the pass for animal kingdom ? Also wanting to check what the property and resort do for new years celebrations? Thanks so much

    Hi Sharone,

How exciting that you plan to ring in 2026 at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm happy to help guide your plans as you countdown to your visit.

If you're considering Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for your stay, it’s truly a wonderful choice! Tickets are not required to enjoy breathtaking views of animals roaming the savanna at this resort (possibly right from your room) and the many dining options are sure to please any palate. My family especially loves Sanaa, but I'm hoping to dine at Boma - Flavors of Africa on a future visit.

However, if you're planning to explore the magic at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, admission is required there. The park is just a short bus ride away from the hotel and offers plenty of amazing adventures just waiting to be discovered. We love to start our day at Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain before journeying over to Avatar Flight of Passage and soaking in the beauty of Pandora – The World of Avatar. You'll also find opportunities for up-close encounters with wildlife on Kilimanjaro Safaris and plenty of peaceful exploration along the park’s scenic discovery trails.

As for ringing in the New Year, many guests gravitate toward EPCOT or Magic Kingdom Park. Details haven't been fully confirmed for this year's celebrations just yet, but you can typically expect New Year’s Eve countdowns and breathtaking fireworks shows at both parks (Magic Kingdom usually repeats the fun on December 30 and 31). These parks have also featured live music and dance parties throughout the evening. As you can imagine, all the excitement brings in large crowds so you'll want to be at your preferred park early in the day to ensure you get to experience the fun in the event capacity closures are implemented. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for details of this year's celebrations to give you an idea of the fun that awaits you next year!

I hope this helped, Sharone. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know. Wishing you a magical visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
