Holly jolly greetings, Stephanie!
I'm so glad to give you a warm yuletide welcome to planDisney today and sprinkle a little bit of added sugar on your cookie quest.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a truly magical experience at Walt Disney World Resort. I had the chance to attend this separately ticketed event last year and I'm still thinking about the sights, sounds, and that oh-so-magical "snoap" falling over Main Street, U.S.A. Cheryl's Cookies was the featured brand last year and it looks like the same company provided a sleigh full of sweets for this year's festivities. I thoroughly enjoyed each of the flavors I sampled from classic buttercream frosted sugar to gingerbread and chocolate chip, Santa's favorite, of course.
Upon reviewing some helpful social content from guests who attended the first party of the season, it appears that gluten-free and allergy-friendly treat options are available at each treat station upon request. When it comes to that famous hot cocoa, recipes sometimes change with the season, so I recommend checking in at the party to see if they have a gluten-free cup of cheer to warm up your little elf. I've also seen eggnog and apple cider options depending on the treat location but I can't say whether these will meet allergy/gluten requirements.
Cast Members are always in the "snow" so they’ll be your best (Santa's) helpers for keeping your 4-year-old’s tummy feeling merry and bright. As a backup,
Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars are a tried-and-true gluten-free delight that will keep his Christmas spirit shining all night long! These are said to be produced in a facility that processes other allergens so just ask to double-check the packaging and ingredient list when purchasing if your son has other dietary concerns.
Aside from the party's complimentary treat stations, I also recommend checking out the
Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2024. There you'll find a list of holiday and party-exclusive food items you can enjoy while jingle bell rocking around Magic Kingdom Park. This guide won't list specific ingredients but will call out locations that have specialty offerings.
Once you find something you want to sample, check out the allergy-friendly menus by location within the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. For example, click the menu for
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café within the app and select the second tab for "Special Ticketed Event." Scroll to the bottom and find a variety of Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly entrees including Kids' Rice Noodle Macaroni & Cheese and even some Allergy-friendly Cookies and Brownies.
I hope this helps, Stephanie! Please come back and see us again with more questions.
Wishing you a fa-la-la-fantastic visit!
Amy
