Alexis from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am planning on starting my day at Hollywood Studios and then park hopping to Epcot later in the day. Can I park at Epcot in the morning to avoid the travel later in the day? If so, how can I get to Hollywood studios before park open?

It's great to see you here today at planDisney, Alexis! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. Transportation is an important part of any trip to Walt Disney World, so I'm happy to help you plan your park hopping between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

Alexis, while it is possible to park at EPCOT and go straight to Hollywood Studios to avoid travel later in the day, it will be difficult first thing in the morning if you're trying to get to Hollywood Studios before it opens. EPCOT typically opens at the same time as Hollywood Studios or even sometimes a little bit later, and since the Skyliner and water transportation are at the International Gateway entrance, across the park from the main entrance and the parking lot, EPCOT would need to be open for you to walk through and get to that transportation.

In this situation where you want to start the day at Hollywood Studios in time for rope drop, I recommend that you park your car there. You can then either move your car later in the day when you're planning to go to EPCOT, it's only about a 10-minute drive, or you can use the complimentary transportation to get there. If you decide to use the Skyliner or boat to get to EPCOT, you can take either one of those modes of transportation back to Hollywood Studios at the end of your day to get back to your car. If this was my decision to make, I'd probably just use my car to get back and forth between the two parks, but you have a couple of options to choose from so make the choice that's best for you and your plans!

I hope this answers your question, Alexis, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
