Hi Robert,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you’ll combine a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay with a
Disney Cruise Line vacation. It’s the best of both worlds—a land and sea adventure filled with memories to treasure. I was fortunate enough to experience my first Disney Cruise alongside the
planDisney Class of 2024, and it left such a lasting impression that my family and I are already planning to set sail in December of 2025, with a Disney Resort stay to kick it all off.
When it comes to your car, here’s how it works: if you plan to use Disney Cruise Line ground transportation from your resort to Port Canaveral, your car will need to be moved off property.
Overnight parking at Disney Resorts Collection hotels is only permitted for Guests during their stay, so unfortunately, you won’t be able to leave your car at the resort during your cruise. One option is to drive your car to Port Canaveral and park it at the secure Disney Cruise Line Terminal parking lot, which allows you to have your vehicle ready and waiting upon your return. Another option is to consider renting a car in your hometown and returning it to the
Disney Car Care Center, where you can then take advantage of Disney’s shuttle service to Port Canaveral.
As you finalize your plans, I’d love to help you make the most of your time at
Walt Disney World before setting sail! If you’re looking for dining options, I’d suggest a celebratory meal at
Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or the tropical flavors of
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. If you’re heading to a park for a day,
Magic Kingdom is the perfect choice to kick off your vacation with iconic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and the
Happily Ever After fireworks over Cinderella Castle. I can even help you craft the ideal itinerary to maximize your fun.
Once you’ve figured out your plans for both land and sea,
feel free to stop by with any questions. I’d be happy to help make your vacation smooth and enjoyable.
Bon Voyage,
Brent
