Hi there, Sam,
Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney, and welcome!
I absolutely understand the desire to have your preferred name listed on your
Magic Key pass. When making a purchase that requires a government-issued photo ID, in my experience, the legal name is used for verification. In my experience working in human resources, we model inclusivity and belonging by always using preferred names on documents, unless for legal reasons we cannot, like for tax documents and benefits.
So, while I cannot guarantee a name change after purchase, I do know that the
Disneyland Resort strives to model
inclusivity and belonging so I feel that if you reach out to the
Magic Key Holder line, they may be able to support you with your request once your pass is purchased. The most important thing is that the same individual is the one to use the pass for its duration, as they are non-transferable. As stated in the
general terms and conditions, you will have to take a photo upon first entry, and every ten years after as an adult pass holder.
Sam, I sure hope that you are successful in purchasing your Magic Key and I understand how important it is to have your chosen name reflected. Sending wishes that you can experience
all the magic real soon as a Magic Key pass holder! If anything else comes up and you have more questions once you have your pass, please feel free to
reach out. We're here to help!
Have a magical night,
Camille
