Season's greetings, Jennifer!
A warm and cozy welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us a wonderful
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. There's nothing quite like a girls' trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth - get ready for a joy-filled vacation filled with light and laughter! I'd be happy to help you "hop" around the Walt Disney World Resort with your favorite gal pals this
holiday season.
Jennifer, now that we're officially past Christmas Day, you may notice the festive decorations and holiday offerings gradually disappearing from the theme parks and Disney Resort hotels over the coming days and weeks. However, you may still be able to catch glimmering glimpses of remaining decor at several locations! Starting off at a dazzlingly decorated
Disney Springs, don't miss your chance to participate in the
Christmas Tree Stroll, as your visit coincides with the last day of this festive offering. When you're ready to head to your first stop on your list of Disney Resort hotels, I recommend catching a bus to Disney's Riviera Resort. Perhaps you could stop for a Christmas-inspired cocktail at
Bar Riva before hopping aboard the Disney Skyliner to soar over to EPCOT's International Gateway!
When you disembark at the EPCOT entrance, you'll be just a quick walk or boat ride away from both
Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. At the time of writing, both of these resorts are decked out in their holiday best for Guests' viewing pleasure! I'm not sure whether the gingerbread displays will still be available during your visit, but I'm crossing my fingers that you'll be able to spy these incredible pieces of art. Once you're ready to move on, catch a bus from either of these resorts to Magic Kingdom Park (or, if you have EPCOT admission, walk through the park to access the EPCOT Monorail). Your next destination: the Magic Kingdom Park area resorts!
Jennifer, while Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa may offer the flagship Christmastime experience, featuring a mind-blowing life-sized gingerbread display,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is actually my favorite spot during the holiday season. There's something so unique about a totally tropical, easy-breezy Christmas celebration! I recommend taking the Resort Monorail around and visiting each of the three resorts on this loop - and maybe stopping by the lounges for some small bites and sips along the way. If you still have some extra time, hop aboard a ferryboat to Disney's Wilderness Lodge to marvel at the majestic stories-tall Christmas tree in the lobby. Otherwise, you can catch a bus from any of these resorts back to Disney Springs at the end of your jingle-bell journey!
I hope these suggestions set you up for a holly-jolly time with your girlfriends, Jennifer! I'm wishing you a very merry and magical girls' trip filled with happy memories. If you have any additional questions before you head off on your holiday-inspired getaway, please feel free to revisit us here at
planDisney anytime! We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Warm wishes,
Lauren
