Hello! We are planning our first trip to WDW with family. I plan to purchase military magic your way tickets for the extended family. Do the prices online include taxes? Also, are they allowed to use the MYW tickets when coming with us?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Haley!

You've come to the right place with your question, welcome! I am excited to hear you are planning your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort! March is a wonderful time of year to visit. If you plan to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can visit one of the Disney Water Parks on your check-in day! Be sure to have your pool bag packed and ready to go! As first-timers, pick up some celebration buttons at check-in or by visiting Guest Relations at one of the theme parks. You can take your buttons to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom and even have them personalized (for a small fee!).

The prices listed on the Walt Disney World website are for the Disney Military Salute tickets, which are different from the Magic Your Way tickets. The prices featured on the Shades of Green website are tax-free for all ticket types, including Magic Your Way. What's great about these tickets is that they are already activated, so if your extended family wants to go to a theme park themselves, they will not need their sponsor present. Salute tickets require the sponsor to activate tickets before scanning in at the first theme park at a Guest Relations booth with their military ID. To order your tickets from Shades, fill out their Advance Ticket Form Request and email it to tickets@shadesofgreenresort.zendesk.com. A Ticket Agent will contact you for eligibility status and form of payment. I recommend purchasing your tickets at least a month in advance. For both ticket types, you will need to make Theme Park Reservations. If you purchase your tickets by February 1st, you can also get them at the 2024 rate!

Haley, I hope all of this was helpful! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. If you need additional pixie dust, reach out again at any time!

    Magic Awaits!
