Hi there Elaine Joy! Disney's Skyliner is such a fun way to get around Walt Disney World, especially when you’re staying at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
From Art of Animation, you’ll hop on the Disney Skyliner right at the resort. That ride alone feels like a mini attraction, and it will take you to
EPCOT’s International Gateway. Once you arrive at EPCOT, you will need a valid EPCOT ticket or a
Park Hopper to enter the park, because the monorail station is inside the park near the front entrance. There isn’t a way to access the monorail without going through EPCOT first.
After entering EPCOT, you can walk straight through the park toward the main entrance. From there, you’ll find the monorail station just outside the front gates. You can then take the monorail over to Magic Kingdom. It’s a smooth, scenic ride, but it does take some time since you’re crossing the park on foot and transferring transportation.
If you’re looking for the most efficient route to
Magic Kingdom, it’s usually quicker to take a bus directly from Art of Animation or if you don't have a park hopper. But if you’re not in a rush and want to enjoy the experience, Skyliner to EPCOT and then monorail to Magic Kingdom is absolutely doable and kind of magical in its own way. Just make sure you build in extra travel time and that EPCOT is open when you plan to make the transfer.
Have a magical time on your upcoming trip, Elaine Joy, and feel free to stop by and ask more questions if you need any help.
Toodles,
Korliss
