Hiya Luis,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.
The Disneyland Resort is where Walt Disney once said, “To all who come to this happy place, welcome”. Since then, guests from around the world have come to celebrate the magic of Disney at the park that started it all! However, due to Guest capacity, the Disneyland Resort needed a system for tracking the number of guests that wished to enter the parks. This is why park reservations were implemented.
As of today, the Disneyland Resort still requires guests to have both a valid
theme park ticket and
theme park reservation for admission into the parks (subject to change). Guests can review park reservation availability ahead of time on the
Theme Park Reservation Calendar, which accounts for the variety of tickets available.
Magic Key pass holders have their own set of park reservations they can view on the
Magic Key Calendar. Without a park reservation, even guests who have a theme park ticket will not be granted admission into the parks.
I have waved my magic wand and see that all park reservations for
Disneyland Park have been booked on your visit date! “Oh bother”. Although the day you wish to visit no longer has reservations available, I recommend you continue checking the Theme Park Reservation Calendar! Guests may
modify their plans and cancel their park reservations, so keep checking for possible park reservations opening up in the future and book as soon as you see them!
Tip from Tiffany: I would also encourage you to upgrade your theme park ticket to a
Park Hopper! Park Hoppers allow guests to go back and forth between Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park starting at 11:00 AM PST (hours subject to change) as long as the parks do not reach capacity at that time! You may not be able to start the day in your preferred park, but once the clock strikes 11:00 AM PST, you can bounce back and forth like our favorite stuffed tiger - “
the one and only Tigger!”
If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
