Hi, we are looking for the best time to go. Right now, your Haunted Mansion ride is closed; do you know when it'll be completed? What other closures are coming up 2024-25? Second, what time of year is least crowded, and what are approximate wait times?

    Hiya,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.

Our tour begins here at my all-time favorite attraction at the Disneyland Resort - Haunted Mansion! As you know, Haunted Mansion is currently undergoing “a disquieting metamorphosis”, so if you had wished to "volunteer to join the 999 happy haunts" that reside in Haunted Mansion, I’m sorry to disappoint. This transformation will consist of an immersive outdoor queue and retail shop with merchandise “from regions beyond”! At this time, there is no reopening date for when the “grim grinning ghosts will come back out to socialize”.

The Disneyland Resort is constantly undergoing refurbishment and expansion to maximize visits for Guests. Currently, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (we’re “almost there” to the opening at Walt Disney World Resort!) is still under construction, and parts of Critter Country (such as The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) will also be closed for refurbishment. While we cannot predict what attractions will undergo refurbishment or may be temporarily closed on a certain day, the Disneyland Resort will make announcements about known closures ahead of time so Guests are informed before upcoming visits. Guests can also review which attractions will not be available on the Hours & Events Calendar (please note these planned closures are subject to change)!

Not even Madam Leota and her crystal ball can predict the attraction wait times during your visit! Historically, there are longer wait times during weekends, holidays, and opening weeks for celebrations such as Pixar Fest. However, you can view attraction wait times from the palm of your hand! If you have downloaded the Disneyland Mobile App, you can view attraction wait times, character times and locations, and more! You just have to open the app and log into your MyDisney account, click on the map at the bottom of your screen, and watch the magic as attraction wait times are updated throughout the day!

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
