Jambo, Kayleigh, and welcome to planDisney. I'm
wildly glad you stopped by with your question! Your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth will be here before you know it, so let's jump into your question.
Kayleigh, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park is probably my favorite place to wander in Walt Disney World. With its lush green pathways and endless surprises, a visit to Animal Kingdom is the ultimate Disney adventure! Of course, all that adventuring is bound to work up an appetite - so it's a good thing the park has some pretty great food. On my last visit, I tried the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich from
Terra Treats (yes, it's as delicious as it sounds!), and I stopped in for a cocktail at my favorite Disney oasis,
Nomad Lounge.
While ice cream and cocktails are must-haves in my book, they can't take the place of a real, solid meal. You'll need to refuel after your big expedition, so it's a great idea to join Donald and Mickey for dinner over at the
Tusker House Restaurant! Now, Tusker House has a lot to offer, so I know you won't want to rush through your meal. Fortunately,
Disney transportation has got you covered - so you won't have to cut your time short!
Kayleigh, I'm happy to share that Disney transportation continues to run until one hour after park closing. While Disney has not released park hours for September just yet, I can tell you that, in general, Animal Kingdom closes no earlier than 6:00 PM. This means that the buses will continue to run until at least 7:00 PM on most days. With an Advance Dining Reservation at 5:45 PM, you should have no problem catching a bus to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel after you finish your meal. As your visit draws closer, be sure to keep an eye on the
Hours & Events Calendar to see if park hours have changed.
I hope this information is helpful, Kayleigh! If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney.
Kwaheri,
Allison
