Hey there, Bridgette, and welcome to planDisney. It's such a pleasure to meet you!
Your visit to Walt Disney World will be here before you know it - and if you're anything like me, you're already counting the days! I'm so excited to hear that you'll be staying at the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. Nestled between
Disney's BoardWalk Inn and
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, the Swan is located in what I consider the most convenient location on property. First of all, there are TONS of great dining options nearby (super important for a foodie like me!). But the best part? You're just a quick walk away from Disney's Hollywood Studios
and EPCOT (which you'll find extra convenient during the
2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!).
Bridgette, I'm a huge fan of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, so one of my favorite things to do in Disney World is to explore the different resorts. They're just as immersive and imaginative as the theme parks themselves! With its unique New Orleans charm,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is a wonderful place to spend some time. So let's talk about how to get there!
As I mentioned before, Hollywood Studios is just a quick walk away from the Swan. Obviously, this is very convenient for visiting that park - but it's also very useful for resort-hopping. To find your way to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, follow the walking path along the canal down to Hollywood Studios (you can also take a
Friendship Boat if you'd rather save your steps). When you reach the end of the path, head left (away from the park entrance) toward the bus station. Here, you can hop on a Disney bus bound for the French Quarter!
When you get there, I promise you'll fall in love with the vibes, the atmosphere, and
definitely the food. I recently spent the day there with
my pal Kurt, and I couldn't get enough of the meandering pathways and beautiful river views! Of course, we made sure to stop by
Scat Cat's Club - Cafe for some Mickey-shaped beignets, and I highly recommend you do the same! The classic beignets are always a treat, but next time, I'll be springing for the Mickey-shaped Beignet Sundae!
I hope this helps, Bridgette, and that your upcoming visit is full of magic and memories. If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
Magic awaits,
Allison
