Hi, I plan to take my twin siblings who are 17 to Disneyland. We bought the SoCal resident tickets. I purchased them and have my valid photo ID to prove residency but they don’t have ID’s yet. Will they be fine to go in?

Hi Sley, and welcome to planDisney!

As a fellow parent of twin teenagers, I’m delighted to help you plan an unforgettable trip to the Disneyland Resort for your children!

There’s been quite a bit of buzz around the Southern California Resident Ticket Offer. As you may know, eligibility for this special offer is limited to guests residing within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599. To take advantage of this offer, guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID proving residency in one of these ZIP codes at both the time of purchase and upon park entry. As long as you have your valid ID ready when scanning in, you should be all set! However, since Disneyland Resort does not require minors to present identification, your twin teenagers won’t need to provide an ID at the entrance.

To make the most of your visit, I recommend linking your children’s tickets to your MyDisney account in the Disneyland app. This will allow you to manage plans and schedule attraction return times for the entire group with ease. Here’s how to get set up: Log in to your MyDisney account via the Disneyland app. Tap the menu icon (the three horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner. Select “My Tickets and Passes.” Tap the plus icon in the top right corner to open the “Link Tickets and Passes” option. From here, you can manually enter the barcode number for each ticket or use your camera to scan the barcode. If you purchased your tickets through Disneyland.com while signed into your Disney account, they might already be linked! Be sure to check your account before manually adding them.

With your tickets linked, you can now manage Lighting Lane Multi Pass access for the group. However, there are a couple of key things to keep in mind. First, Lightning Lane Multi Pass return times can only be scheduled for guests who have scanned into either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. While you can link your children’s tickets beforehand, you won’t be able to book a return time until they have officially entered the park. Second, to ensure everyone gets the same return time, make sure no one in your party has already booked a Lightning Lane Multi Pass reservation. Once a return time has been selected, guests must wait either 120 minutes or until they’ve scanned in for their attraction, whichever comes first, before booking the next selection. If someone in your group has already used a Lightning Lane reservation, you’ll need to wait for that time window to pass before making another selection for the whole party.

I hope this helps, Sley! If you have any more questions, please visit us again at planDisney.

    Wishing you a magical visit!
