Welcome to planDisney, Juliet! Getting your dining reservations all set is one of the most exciting ways to prepare for your visit to the Disneyland Resort. I always have the date circled on my calendar, too. It’s like a countdown to deliciousness!
I checked the dining reservation calendar for
Carnation Café, and unfortunately, it will be unavailable from April 28 through May 10. While that may be disappointing, I have a few magical alternatives that might just become new favorites! First, I’d recommend
Café Orleans in New Orleans Square. With its Creole-Cajun menu and lovely patio seating, this spot offers one of the most relaxing dining experiences in the park. A refreshing Mint Julep and a delicious Monte Cristo make for the perfect springtime meal.
Alternatively,
River Belle Terrace, just across the way in Frontierland, is a fantastic choice, especially for brunch. It’s the perfect midday recharge, and I can personally vouch for its delicious offerings. I have a reservation coming up myself because the Country Cuban Sandwich is calling my name!
Over at Disney California Adventure Park,
Lamplight Lounge is a top pick for ambiance. Nestled along Paradise Bay, it’s the perfect place to kick back with a tasty beverage and the mouthwatering Charbroiled Cheddar Burger. And don’t sleep on the Potato Skins; they’re a must-try! Another underrated gem is
Wine Country Trattoria. There’s just something special about twirling a forkful of Spaghetti Bolognese while enjoying the California breeze. Plus, its prime location along the main walkway makes for excellent people-watching!
Juliet, if you’re unable to secure a reservation right away, don’t worry! Availability often shifts as guests adjust their plans, so keep checking in the days leading up to your visit. Also, the
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability feature in the
Disneyland app can be a game-changer. Just check for availability, add your party to the list, and you’ll receive a notification when your table is ready. My wife and I have had great success with this method, even snagging seats at popular spots like Lamplight Lounge!
I hope these suggestions help you discover some new favorite dining spots, Juliet! If you have any more questions, whether about restaurant choices or other tips for your Disneyland Resort visit, please don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney again.
Wishing you a trip filled with magical meals and unforgettable moments!
