Hi Maria,
Welcome to planDisney. Trust me, I understand how planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation can feel like a swirly mix of pure excitement overwhelm. That is why I'm here! Grab a mug of whatever warm beverage brings you the most comfort, relax into your most supportive chair, wrap up in a fuzzy blanket, and let's get you started...together.
If you already know the dates for our Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you are already making progress! Next, we just need to think through your perfect Disney Resort hotel. Consider whether a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Resort hotel would be right for you. Let me share some of the differences and a few of my suggestions:
You will find that there are
Disney Value Resort hotels that offer larger-than-life theming elements, excellent pools, and complimentary bus transportation around Walt Disney World Resort, all while helping you stretch your vacation budget. My favorites are Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort, which also offer the chance to take to the sky for Disney Skyliner transportation to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.
Next, there are
Moderate Resort hotels. Here you will find yourself a little closer to the Disney theme parks, a few more dining options, and (in general) larger accommodations. We love Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside. It features a water taxi to Disney Springs. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is connected to the Disney Skyliner, which is excellent!
Finally, you might select a
Deluxe Resort hotel or a Deluxe Villa. These offer the ultimate Disney luxury. They are, generally, closest to the Disney theme parks. They may offer more transportation options like the monorail, Disney Skyliner, or boat transportation in addition to the bus system. I love Disney's Contemporary Resort for its incredible view of either Cinderella Castle in a Theme Park View or the naturally beautiful Bay Lake in a Lake View category. Also around the top of our list would be Disney's Beach Club Resort. It is walking distance to both Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT and features an incredible sand-bottomed swimming
oasis pool.
After you consider your Resort hotel options, it is time to think about your Disney theme park tickets. Do you think you would like to explore one theme park per day or is the freedom to "Hop" from theme park to theme park more your style? How many days would you like to visit?
Once you have thought about your Resort hotel and Disney theme park ticket options, begin to
customize your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package online or with the friendly
Cast Members who are standing by to help you by phone. Then, you can use your dates to find the perfect flights through your preferred airline. I love to use a Google Flights search as a starting point to find the best value across many airlines as a starting point.
From there, you just need to frost your Disney vacation cake: this is the time for Advance Dining Reservations and thinking through your included
Magical Extras like Miniature Golf or Bowling.
Then it's all just excitement, packing, and relaxing on your practically perfect Disney Vacation!
I hope that was helpful, Maria. Please let us know how we can help as you continue planning. We are here for you!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
