I plan to disneybound, but I'm not sure on all the rules. I want to go as Max Goof who has a casual outfit so I don't know what would be too costumey, and would I be able to paint the tip of my nose black? Another idea would be dipper pines.

    Hi Rose,

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question.  Disney style is one of my absolute favorite topics to chat about!  There’s just something extra magical about stepping into the parks dressed in outfits inspired by our favorite characters. My family loves coordinating our looks, and let me tell you—those photo ops turn out practically perfect every time!

So, let’s dive right into your question like Ariel diving into the grotto! Yes, Disney Bounding is absolutely allowed! It’s such a creative way to express your love for a character while staying within Disney’s official park guidelines. While full costumes are generally reserved for young Mouseketeers under 14 (and for special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or runDisney races), guests of all ages can have fun putting together inspired outfits.

Here’s a quick breakdown of Disney’s dress code magic:

    • Costumes: Only kids under 14 can wear full costumes during regular park hours—unless it's a special ticketed event like Boo Bash or a runDisney race.
    • Comfort is key: Think fashion and function. You'll be doing lots of walking (seriously—some days I clock 20,000+ steps chasing down snacks and Lightning Lanes!), so comfy shoes are a must.
    • Weather-ready gear: As a Florida local, I always bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a poncho. Florida weather changes fast, so it’s best to be prepared for sun and a surprise sprinkle or two!
    • Bounding Tips: Disney Bounding is all about subtle nods. Think Max Goof with a red tee, blue jeans, and sneakers. Just be mindful of things like face paint, especially in the summer heat.
Here's one of my favorite pro tips: Be sure to purchase Memory Maker! It’s the perfect way to capture your Disney-bounding magic all around the parks. With unlimited downloads of PhotoPass photos (including those magical Magic Shots), you can relive those memories long after you’ve hung up your Minnie ears.

I hope this helps answer your questions about your upcoming adventure! If you have any more questions, come back and see us at planDisney.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
