Hey there, Jasmine, thanks for popping by planDisney!
This is a great question, and I love that you want to gift a
Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass to someone!
Make sure to review the
Magic Key Buying Guide, which will shed light on all of the information you'll need to know before purchasing, including setting up a payment method, how to enter the queue, and what to do once you purchase. You can purchase on behalf of another person, up to a maximum of 10 passes. Each pass will need to be linked to an individual so be prepared to provide the first and last name, date of birth, and address of the recipient. If they are 18 or older you'll also need to provide a phone number and email (I recommend their Disney account email if you know it, so it links to them). Another important note, if purchasing the
Imagine key for SoCal residents, the recipient does need to reside within the required zip codes and have the appropriate government-issued ID per the
terms and conditions. When it comes to paying for the pass, you would pay in full, unless you're a California resident and opt for monthly payments. However, be aware that if you set up monthly payments, you will be the one on the contract with Disney, and in my experience, that cannot be changed. The card on file for payments can be changed over the phone or in person at a ticket booth. But as the purchaser, you'd be responsible for payments regardless. You can always contact Magic Key service at (714) 781-7277 for more clarification.
Well, Jasmine, I sure hope whoever is receiving this gift is just as excited to enjoy a year of magic at the Disneyland Resort as I was sharing this information.
Cheers,
Camille
