Can I use Disney gift cards to pay off my magic key balance in full if I wish to stop paying monthly?

    Hi there, Erin!

I'm so glad that you stopped by planDisney, and yay for Disney Gift Cards! My friends and family know that Disney Gift Cards are the perfect birthday (or anytime) present for me. I like to use Disney Gift Cards to purchase snacks and meals at Disneyland Resort, including my favorite, Daisy's Goody-Goody Donuts at Cafe Daisy

This is an exciting week for Magic Keys! You may have heard that Magic Keys are back on sale on January 10, 2024, and with the release of the Magic Key Buying Guide, this is the perfect time to clarify any questions you have about them.

According to the Magic Key Buying Guide, a Disney Gift Card is an accepted method of payment when making a payment in full for a new Magic Key, and Disney Gift Cards cannot be used in combination with the monthly payment option available to California residents. However, it might be possible to pay off a current Magic Key balance in full with a Disney Gift Card. This would need to be done at one of the Main Entrance Ticket Booths located in the Esplanade between the two theme park entrances.

Did you know that current Magic Key holders have their own phone number to use when they have questions about their Magic Key? The Cast Members there are experts on everything related to Magic Keys!

All of this talk about Magic Keys has me excited for the upcoming events taking place at Disneyland Resort, starting with the runDisney races happening this weekend! 2024 is sure to be a great year to be a Magic Key holder!

Erin, thanks again for visiting us at planDisney! Have a wonderful day!
