I have 11 people in my group how do I make reservations for dining?

Hello Janell, and welcome to planDisney.

Oh my goodness, a trip with a party of 11 sounds like a bibbidi bobbidi beautiful time! I'm so excited to help you! Just last summer, I took a large family vacation, so I'm happy to share how we made our dining reservations.

Janell, to get you and your large party bibbidi bobbidi booked for all those special meals, you have a few options, but first, I want to remind you how important it is to make your advanced dining reservations 60 days in advance. This will give you the best option to make reservations at many oh-so-popular restaurants. On your booking day, reservation times will open bright and early at 6 am.

Your first option is to try to book everyone on one reservation. There are several restaurants like 1900 Park Fare, Boma - Flavors of Africa, Cape May Cafe, and Chef Mickey's that can easily accommodate a party of 11.

Your other option is to divide your party into smaller groups. Because the system will not allow you to make two dining reservations at the same time, I suggest enlisting the help of another adult in your party with their own My Disney Experience account. Both of you can make reservations at the same restaurant around the same time. Then, arrive at your dining location a bit earlier than your scheduled time and inform the host that you would like both parties to be seated together. While there is no guarantee, I have found that the Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your request. In my experience, this strategy has been successful. Dining Cast Members want nothing more than for you to enjoy your visit and will work their magic to help you as best as possible!

I hope this helps as you plan your magical vacation, Janell! I love my big family trips, but I also appreciate that planning for large groups requires a bit of extra magical pixie dust—and that's where planDisney comes in to help. While we may not be Fairy Godparents, we are Guests passionate about helping you make magical memories! Feel free to visit our little corner of the internet anytime!
