I was able to make a reservation for dining for 10 guests but need to add one more guest. Will we be able to ask to add one more when we arrive?

    Hey there, Beth!

I'm so glad you pulled up a chair at planDisney's table today, and even happier to hear you snagged a coveted dining reservation for your group's upcoming visit. Let's go through a few more details so you're prepared to feast.

In my experience, it's usually easier to remove a guest from your dining party than it is to add. You'll be able to check in for your reservation using the My Disney Experience Mobile App about 15 minutes before your meal, but I can't guarantee you'll be able to increase your party size that day. You are also welcome to check in with a Cast Member at the restaurant entrance to inquire about adding an extra guest, but unfortunately, not all restaurants have tables large enough to accommodate 11. Reservations are also in place to make sure each restaurant adheres to capacity limitations.

My recommendation is to split your group into two parties now and try to reserve overlapping dining times. This way everyone is accounted for in terms of seating/capacity and you can request tables nearby when you arrive. Keep in mind, this is not always possible but I've found that if you are willing to wait a bit Cast Members typically do their best to seat you close to other reservations in your party.

In order to have two advance dining reservations at the same time you'll need to recruit a second member of your travel party. Have them secure one around the same time for a table of 5 or 6 (or whichever group size they can find) and then modify your existing reservation down to meet the total number of guests. If you are dining at a pre-paid location like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or Cinderella's Royal Table you may need to cancel and rebook your reservation as these are not always open to modifications.

I know this isn't the answer you hoped for, Beth, but I'm crossing my fingers that you'll be able to get the details ironed out before your arrival. If we can answer any additional questions between now and then please come right back to planDisney and let us know. Wishing you a magical and memorable visit!

    Bon appétit,
    Amy
