Hi there, Michael, and welcome to planDisney!
One thing that I love about planning a Disney World vacation is the flexibility of paying for it while you envision and dream about your upcoming adventure. But before you can get into that flow state of Mickey pretzels, thrilling rides, and poolside drinks, you’ll need to know how to make those payments. Let’s get into it!
Guests like you and I can book a
Disney Vacation Package that includes both theme park tickets and a Resort hotel stay (with an optional
dining plan add-on). After paying the deposit, you can make payments toward your vacation package until 30 days before your vacation. That deadline is when the entire balance is due.
If you have booked a Disney Vacation Package through Disney World, you can check your balance on the official Disney World website’s
My Disney Experience account. Log in by clicking “My Disney Experience.” There’s a little Mickey Mouse icon next to it. Once there, find
“My Plans and Tickets.” Find the reservation that you’d like to make a payment toward and select "Make a Payment." The vacation package’s balance should be displayed. You’ll also see where you can make a payment. You aren’t required to make payments on a consistent basis or be a same or similar amount each time. It’s 100% your decision. Just be sure to pay it off before the deadline mentioned above.
AN EXTRA GEM: If your reservation is only for a Resort hotel stay (with no included theme park tickets), you will pay it in full once you’re on vacation. You never know if you’ll choose to use your
MagicBand+ to charge merchandise and food purchases to your room. You’ll receive an itemized list via email and pay the total in full before you check out.
Thanks for stopping by with your question, Michael. You’re in for quite the fun time at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you need additional help with Disney vacation planning, please
