Hey there Phyllis and welcome to planDisney. My family have been Walt Disney World Passholders for nearly a decade and have enjoyed the freedom and flexibility to visit the theme parks and Disney Water Parks without feeling rushed to do "everything" every time. We take advantage of
Passholder Benefits restaurant and merchandise discounts and
Special Offers for Passholders that many times pay for the annual pass just in savings.
If you want to spend time at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you should be looking for Passholder deals instead of spending rack rates for a Disney Resort hotel room. Promotions typically are released about three to six months in advance so be on the lookout for savings up to 35% off the standard rate (subject to change and availability) on the Special Offers page. They may also be found as an option (if available) when you book your room online. While you can book a hotel room through your mobile phone and desktop browser using your
My Disney Experience account, it is not currently possible to make a hotel reservation through the
My Disney Experience App.
Bring your Annual Pass card with you at all times as you may be asked to show your plastic Passholder Card or the digital version kept in your My Disney Experience App sometime during your trip to guarantee the discount price on rooms and merchandise.
planDisney Pro Tip: While you are visiting this summer make sure to carve out some time for Beyond the Theme Parks adventures at either
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Typically only one is open at a time and the perfect way to relax in the sun.
Phyllis, nothing starts the summer like a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. You are going to have a blast. Please
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions or if you are looking for more Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
