Greetings, Emmanuelle!
I am thrilled that you found us here at planDisney to help you plan your first trip to the most Magical Place on Earth! You've come to the right place, so keep all those questions coming. Planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is half the fun.
The end of April to the beginning of May is typically a wonderful time to visit. Crowds from Easter and Spring Break have usually dispersed a bit and the weather is much milder than those summer months. I am not sure what budget you're looking for, so I'll offer you my favorite hotel, for your daughters' ages, in each Disney Resort category - Value, Moderate and Deluxe.
Value: Disney's Art of Animation ResortThe Little Mermaid-themed rooms are sure to be a hit with your little princesses! My family adores the fun and layout of the resort. It also boasts the largest resort pool for those relaxing resort breaks. Lastly, we like that it offers
Disney Skyliner transportation to and from EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Moderate: Disney's Port Orleans Resort - RiversideThis one is a little tougher to pick a favorite. There are so many great moderate hotel choices, that you really can't go wrong. Again, thinking of your little ones, I chose this resort because there is something special about staying in a real
royal room fit for a Disney Princess. Each room offers regal touches from Tiana and her princess pals. My sister and I stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside last October and it was amazing. We really enjoyed the food and being able to explore the lush grounds.
Deluxe: Disney's Animal Kingdom LodgeWhile I would say this one is for your daughters as well, it's really a choice more for the whole family. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is incredible and my personal favorite Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. While it's a bit farther from the parks, it's worth it for the experience of viewing zebras, giraffes and other animals on the resort grounds. My kids don't want to leave the resort to head to the parks sometimes!
Extra Tip: Make sure that you stop by the Resort Hotel front desk, wherever you decide to stay, to ask for "First Visit" celebration buttons!
I, or any of my panelist friends, would be happy to help you with any other questions you have, Emmanuelle. Making the first choice of when and where is the toughest, so if you need any other details to help you narrow down your Walt Disney World Resort hotel,
please let me know. Magical Wishes,
Lauren
