Hi there, Dorothy!
Welcome to planDisney, where we don't let a single question pass us by. My husband and I recently upgraded our date-based theme park tickets to
Annual Passes, and we are so glad we did! I love knowing we have the freedom to visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth whenever we choose, even if that means channeling our inner Tarzan and swinging into a Theme Park briefly for one specific attraction or snack. (I'm talking about you,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and you,
buffalo chicken chips.)
I'm happy to share that Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes expire 365 days from the date of first use, not the date of purchase. Once the pass is purchased and connected to your
My Disney Experience account, you can view the expiration date of your Annual Pass under the 'Tickets and Passes' tab of your
My Disney Experience mobile app. As a Florida resident, you have access to purchase several
different types of Annual Passes as well as the option to pay for your pass in
monthly installments.
Regardless of the type of Annual Pass purchased, I wanted to remind you that you will need to
make theme park reservations ahead of your intended visits with the exception of select good-to-go days or any day you're planning to first enter a Theme Park after 2 PM (except weekends at Magic Kingdom Park). As an Annual Passholder, be sure to take advantage of the
Passholder Perks (such as discounts on select food and merchandise) available to you! It doesn't count as spending money if you're saving money while you're at it, right?
I hope this was helpful, Dorothy, and that you never pass up an opportunity to be in the middle of the magic at Walt Disney World Resort! Feel free to
drop back by with any additional questions. I'm happy to help!
Hakuna matata,
Lizzie
