Conor from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My girlfriend and I are students at a Florida university who are from out of state. We both have addresses that are Florida addresses while residing at school. Would we qualify as Florida residents and if so what proof should we provide in order to qualify

Hello, Conor, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for this great question, and congratulations on seeking your college degree in the Sunshine State. I'm a Florida resident, so I'd like to tell you what you and your girlfriend must provide to take advantage of any resident discounts at Walt Disney World Resort.

There are often Special Offers for residents for Disney Resort Hotel stays, annual passes, and theme park tickets. If you purchase any admission tied to residency, you'll need to show valid proof of Florida residency online at checkout or in person before activating the ticket onsite. You should be good to go if you have a valid Florida driver's license. If not, please review the other acceptable forms of proof and bring those along when you visit.

If you book a resort stay as a resident, you'll be asked to show the same proof of residency when you arrive. You can currently save up to 30% on stays through early summer using the Florida resident discount.

Please feel free to call New Tickets if you have additional questions about resident requirements. I hope you both have valid proof that you reside in Florida because I want you to experience the Disney magic together!

Finally, my tip is to check all the current offers because there might be another discount you can enjoy. For example, the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass is a great deal that allows you to visit unlimited times until May 24, 2024, and its purchase isn't tied to residency. I can't think of a better way to cool off after a college exam than by splashing down a water slide!

Conor, thanks again for coming to planDisney. I'm waving my fairy godmother wand that you and your special lady will enjoy Walt Disney World together soon.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
