Hi there, Tammy. Welcome to planDisney.
It looks like it won't be long until you're flying with
Dumbo, sailing with
pirates, and visiting my favorite 999 happy haunts at the
Haunted Mansion. Magic Kingdom is quintessential Disney, and I'm thrilled to hear you'll be visiting in just a few weeks! YAY!
To answer your question, standard parking at
Disney's Contemporary Resort is complimentary for registered overnight Guests and for day Guests with confirmed dining reservations. For day Guests, this parking is generally limited to just a few hours to enjoy your dining reservation. There is a fee for valet service, which is currently $42 (plus tax). Upon your arrival, you would speak with the security host about your options. I'm adding a link
HERE for all the parking information you may need.
If you are a registered Guest at the Contemporary Resort and plan to park your car overnight, you can easily walk to Magic Kingdom. I love the Contemporary Resort for SO MANY reasons! Spending a day at the
"Feature Pool" is a perfect way to enjoy a Disney day, and I also love shopping in the lobby and dining at
Chef Mickey's. In fact, I love this hotel so much that I'm checking in next week! What I also love is its proximity to Magic Kingdom and the Monorail. You'll have no need to drive to Magic Kingdom if you are staying at the Contemporary.
If you are not going to be a registered Guest at this hotel, please note that parking at the Contemporary and walking to Magic Kingdom is not permitted. In that case, you would need to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take either the Monorail or Ferryboat over to Magic Kingdom.
Tammy, I hope this information helps you plan your day. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. There is literally nothing we love more than talking about Walt Disney World vacations with fellow Guests. We are happy to help! Have the most magical vacation!
Wishing you a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
