Hey there, Joseph!
Thanks for coming back to see us with another question. I'm happy to help!
Disney's Contemporary Resort has an array of fantastic dining options. My family stayed there a few weeks ago and enjoyed a fun-filled Character dinner at Chef Mickey's and a delicious dinner at Steakhouse 71 on a previous visit. California Grill is still on my wish list, but I hope to visit sooner than later. You really can't go wrong with the menu at any of these locations!
When arriving for your meal in a personal vehicle or via a rideshare service, Cast Members at the entrance gate will confirm your dining reservation before admitting entry to the
parking area. They'll also advise of timing restrictions, but in my experience, guests usually have around 3 hours to enjoy their meal and explore the resort. Though I can understand why you'd want to walk right over to Magic Kingdom Park after dinner, you will not be permitted to leave your vehicle parked there to attend
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. If you're hoping to enjoy the rest of your evening singing "boo to you, and you, and you, and you" down Main Street, U.S.A., you'll need to move your vehicle to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) once you've completed your meal.
I know this is likely not what you wanted to hear, but I'm sure you can understand that parking for registered guests of the resort would be severely limited if everyone left their cars there while enjoying Magic Kingdom Park. The same is true at the other Monorail resorts. To save some time between dinner and the party you can first park at the TTC and take the
Monorail to the Contemporary. That way you won't have to worry about moving your car when it's time to get your not-so-scary fun started. Alternatively, you can arrive for dinner using
Minnie Van Service or another third-party rideshare, then walk directly to the main entrance of
Magic Kingdom Park when dinner is complete.
Joseph, if you need more suggestions for navigating during your visit please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. We're always ready to assist.
Magic and memories,
Amy
