Hiya Pal!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a great question. There is something truly magical about ending the day with a fabulous nighttime fireworks display, so let's take a look at your options during your visit.
To enter Magic Kingdom Park and watch
Happily Ever After, you do need to have admission to the park. If seeing this fireworks display from inside the park is a must-do during your visit, you can always stop by
Guest Relations and speak with someone about upgrading your one-day ticket to Disney's Hollywood Studios to a ticket with the
Park Hopper Option. The Cast Members will be able to speak more with you about any options that may be available and the cost to do so. With this option, you can spend the day enjoying Hollywood Studios and then catch a bus or drive to Magic Kingdom in the evening for the fireworks.
Another option is to head to one of the resorts along the
Walt Disney World Monorail loop, where you can watch fireworks from the beach. These resorts include Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. The view isn't quite the same as being in the park, but you'll be able to enjoy the display and will find the music piped in for a wonderful experience. If you are using Disney transportation, you can catch a bus from Hollywood Studios to one of these resorts, but if you are planning to drive to Hollywood Studios, it's probably easiest to move your vehicle to the Transportation & Ticket Center and then catch the Resort Monorail to your desired location. Don't worry - you'll only
pay for parking once each day, so you can access parking at the Transportation & Ticket Center simply by showing your receipt from Hollywood Studios. Most of the time, rideshare services won't be able to drop you off at a resort without a confirmed hotel or dining reservation, but they can take you to the Transportation & Ticket Center as well. If you're planning to watch from a resort, my preference is the Polynesian. I love grabbing a sweet treat from
Pineapple Lanai to enjoy during the show!
You may also want to consider sticking around Hollywood Studios for their nighttime spectacular -
Fantasmic! This is right up there with Happily Ever After as far as I'm concerned when it comes to entertainment value. During this show, you'll combine characters with fireworks, pyrotechnics, water projections, and a fabulous score of Disney music as you step inside Mickey's dream. Be sure to arrive early to secure your seat!
Before I go, I'd also encourage you to check the
Hours & Events Calendar before heading to the parks and finalizing your plans. Later this week, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney's Jollywood Nights kick off their seasonal runs, and this can sometimes impact theme park hours and entertainment schedules.
I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this week! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again - we're all ears!
See ya real soon!
