Welcome Robert, thank you for stopping by planDisney with your questions. Planning impromptu visits where you might need to get your tickets last minute is very exciting for me. This may not be the reason you are asking your question but my experience certainly will lend a hand.
Walt Disney World is the type of place when you are in the area you know it. There are signs everywhere. Mickey Mouse products are even being sold at gas stations. How could you not want to visit?
If you decide to visit without making a reservation using the
Disney Park Pass System you will be able to purchase your tickets but there is no guarantee that you will be able to enter the park of your choice. You are able to purchase and make a reservation on the same day, in fact it’s what I recommend. Before you purchase your tickets you should check out the
Park Availability Calendar to make sure the park you want to visit has availability. If you happen to be already at the park of your choice you can go to the ticket window and they will let you know if there is availability. As we approach the holiday season availability will start to dwindle. As of today when I am responding to you the calendar shows all parks are currently available for the week you indicated your arrival. That is exciting news, and if you are able to do so I would purchase them sooner than later.
Hopefully, this information will help you plan your visit. If you have any other questions or need any tips for planning revisit us at

Have a magical day,
Jeremy A.
