I have a park reservation and a dining reservation at Magic Kingdom on July 4th. Does the park or dining reservation guarantee admittance if the park is at capacity? Thank you!

Hey Jessica! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you're here, and I'm excited to help you out. I love your question. I'm a planner, too, and I just love to plan every minute of my day, even when travelling with little ones. You'll experience tons of magic, but it may be a little crowded. Don't worry, though; I've got your back, and I'll be here to help you every step of the way!

Even if you have a reservation for the theme park or a dining reservation, you may not be guaranteed entry if the park is already at full capacity. Disney's top priority is safety, and they take it very seriously. So, while this isn't exactly the news you wanted to hear, I'm confident that you'll still be able to have a fun-filled day at the park! To make the most of your visit, arriving early and planning to spend the entire day there is best. Unfortunately, you cannot hold your spot if you leave the park, so it's best to stay put once you're in.

Disney put the theme park reservations in place to assist them in planning for the day regarding the number of Cast Members required to help the Guests on any given day. Nonetheless, Guests can still purchase dated tickets and change their plans, park hop to multiple parks in a single day, or simply buy tickets at the park gates. Therefore, it is challenging to forecast if and when the park will reach capacity. However, if this happens, no one is allowed to enter until it is safe.

It's important to note that theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets, so make sure to double-check if you need one.

Before you head to the park, let me give you three helpful tips. First, stay hydrated, as it will be hot. Second, pack a poncho, as there's always a chance of rain. Third, use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to order from quick-service locations and skip the lines. Trust me, these tips will help you save time and energy throughout the day. Finally, enjoy the fireworks!

I hope this information helps you, Jessica. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always here to help you have the most magical day ever!

    Cheers
