    We have park passes for April 19th and annual passes go on sale the 20th. Can I upgrade my day passes to annual passes?

    Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question about Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes. Yee-haw! Round up your favorite pals, Shannon, because the Disney Incredi-Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass, and Disney Pirate Pass will once again be available for purchase as of April 20, 2023, and Disney Vacation Club Members will be able to purchase these passes as early as April 13, 2023.

    I'm excited to hear that you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort very soon, Shannon! According to the Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass Terms & Conditions, a Guest hoping to upgrade their theme park tickets to Annual Passes must upgrade on the same day on which their theme park tickets are valid. Shannon, I'm not sure if you have a single-day or multi-day ticket. Since you mentioned that your theme park reservation is for the day before Annual Pass sales resume, I'm afraid that you won't be able to upgrade that specific single-day ticket to an Annual Pass. However, if your theme park tickets are multi-day tickets that begin on April 19, 2023, you will be able to upgrade these partially-used, unexpired tickets. When a multi-day ticket is upgraded to an Annual Pass, the pass will be backdated to begin on the first day that the original ticket was used, so if yours are multi-day tickets, your Annual Pass start date would be reflected as April 19. 2023.

    Shannon, upgrades of theme park tickets to Annual Passes must be completed in person either at a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket booth or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I'm guessing that there will be lots of Space Rangers hoping to get their hands on Annual Passes, so I encourage you to act quickly on April 20, 2023!
