Welcome to planDisney, Colleen!
How exciting to be looking ahead to October at the Walt Disney World Resort! It’s one of my favorite times to visit, with the festive fall décor in all the theme parks and resorts, delicious seasonal treats, and the anticipation of the holiday season bringing such energy to the atmosphere! Thank you for asking about Tables in Wonderland; we appreciate that you value our personal advice and I’m happy to share what I can about this beloved discount card (which I also used to proudly own).
Tables in Wonderland was a dining discount card offered as an additional purchase in a benefit for Annual Passholders. This magical bonus card was a real treat, offering members a nice discount on dining for up to ten Guests and some additional perks like valet parking at most dining locations throughout Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, all cards in existence expired as of September 1, 2021, and this benefit has not yet returned since the COVID-19 pandemic. Most Annual Pass sales are also on hold, unless you have continued to renew yours from when it was available for purchase.
Please don’t say, “off with her head!” as I deliver this sad news, Colleen. There are several other ways to save on dining throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, so let’s see if any may apply to you.
There is a current Special Offer on rooms that includes a Disney Dining Promo Card, but this ends with arrivals in mid-September. You may want to review the details to see if it would motivate you to alter your visit dates, but I understand wanting to keep to your mid-October plans. Keep an eye on the Special Offers section of the website for any promotions in the coming months that could apply to your current reservation.
Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Disney Visa Card Holders are also in a world of their own - eligible for discounts on dining throughout the Walt Disney World Resort most anytime.
Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog, your official source of information straight from the Main Mouse himself, for any breaking news on the return of Annual Pass sales and perhaps a future iteration of the Tables in Wonderland card. "Sometimes,” Alice said, “I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast” so maybe we’ll receive some happy news before your visit. Things aren't always as they seem in Wonderland!
Here are a few more tips since we’ve gone down the rabbit hole together:
- Start purchasing Disney gift cards now in small increments; buying here and there can really add up by October for dining!
- Buy a refillable popcorn bucket in the theme parks, and/or a refillable resort mug at your Disney Resort Collections Hotel to save as you refuel throughout your stay.
- Take advantage of a wearable mini gift card to budget your world tour of tastes during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Please let us know if you are “curiouser and curiouser” about anything else for your magical vacation!
We’re all mad here,
Amy
