Welcome, Raffaele! I'm so excited about your New Year's Eve visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort. To make the best of your visit, let's get your question answered!
If your
theme park ticket requires a
Theme Park Reservation, you'll need to start your day at the park where you’ve made your reservation before taking advantage of the Park Hopper Option. Reservation availability can change, so it’s a great idea to keep checking for openings as your visit approaches. If a reservation for
Magic Kingdom Park or
Disney’s Hollywood Studios becomes available, you can typically modify your reservation. Just note that since you are visiting on a very popular day, if a park reaches capacity, hopping to it won’t be possible until enough guests leave to reopen it. Additionally, even with a Theme Park Reservation, entry to a park may be restricted during capacity closures.
So, what are my recommendations to ensure a visit full of the specific magic you're looking for? Well, planning ahead and being flexible is key, but even more importantly, getting an early start. The earlier you arrive at a park, the less chance it will have closed for capacity reasons when you've arrived. Furthermore, if you're going to park hop, do that as early as you can as well. Be sure to have notifications enabled on the
My Disney Experience mobile app, as sometimes, push notifications will alert you to which parks close for capacity. And, of course, you can ask a friendly
Cast Member for help and advice as well! Lastly, one final piece of advice: only leave a park when you are done for the day. This way, if it later closes due to capacity restrictions, you'll have avoided disappointment as you left when you were ready to do so!
Raffaele, you're going to have a wonderful visit no matter where you are at the Walt Disney World Resort. Whether you're savoring the sweetness of a
Pineapple DOLE Whip or marveling at the craftsmanship of details like the mahogany accents in some of the
Walt Disney Imagineers' immersive designs, your visit will be filled with magical moments. If you have any other questions,
feel free to come back and ask them!
May your New Year sparkle as brightly as
Cinderella Castle at midnight, and may all your
Disney dreams come true,
Matt
