Can you park a 30 foot rv, no awning or slide out at a tent/ pop up site at fort wilderness.

Hey Howdy Hey Maureen, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! Fort Wilderness is one of my favorite spots at the Most Magical Place on Earth because you get the best of both worlds. You’re staying at an idyllic campground in the middle of a forest while being just a short boat ride away from the bustling Magic Kingdom

Now, let’s figure out the best campsite for your RV! The Tent or Pop-Up Campsites can accommodate equipment on a concrete pad up to 10 feet by 25 feet, so it looks like your 30-foot RV will be too big. I’d recommend checking out the Preferred Campsite, which accommodates equipment up to 10 feet by 45 feet, or the Full Hook-Up Campsite, which accommodates equipment up to 10 feet by 50 feet. There are also other campsite types that accommodate equipment up to 18 feet by 60 feet. By choosing one of these larger options, you’ll also get access to a sewage hook-up, which doesn’t come with the Tent or Pop-Up Campsites. Check out the Room Rates section of the Fort Wilderness website for the full list of options and campsite sizes.

One of my favorite things to do at Fort Wilderness is to drive our golf cart around the campsite loops to see everyone’s decorations. When you visit in November, many guests will have their sites all decked out for the holidays! While you don’t need a golf cart to get around Fort Wilderness (you can always take the internal bus), it’s certainly the most fun way to explore the campground! If you plan on renting a golf cart, call ahead to reserve one since they’re available on a first-come first-serve basis. My family also likes to bring decorations for our golf cart. Not only is it fun and festive, but it makes it easier to find your golf cart in the parking areas!

Some of my other Fort Wilderness must-dos include dancing with the mischievous chipmunks at Chip ’n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long, visiting Tri-Circle-D Ranch (the horses from the Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Magic Kingdom Main Street Vehicles live there!), and watching the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach.

I hope you have a rootin’ tootin' good time at Fort Wilderness! And don’t forget, you always have a friend in me at planDisney. Don’t hesitate to visit us again if you have any other questions.
