It is super exciting to hear that you and your parents will be able to visit Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks on a more regular basis together. I am sorry to hear you are having issues linking your Dad's account to your plans. Let's review some steps and see what we can do about this.
The first place I would check is to make sure both of your parents have
Theme Park Reservations. Rules have recently changed around the reservations however Annual Passholders still do need to have Theme Park Reservations for their upcoming trip. Make sure he has them for all of the days you plan to visit the parks as this sometimes can interfere with planning.
If that does not work, try having him check his settings on his My Disney Experience account. Have him log onto his account and hover over the My Disney Experience heading at the top until you see a drop-down menu with the option "My Friends & Family". Click on that to bring up his list of people he is sharing plans with. He can then click on a button near his icon stating "List & Search Settings". Have him make sure he is sharing his plans accordingly with the appropriate selections.
If that does not work, then this looks like a job for our Cast Member friends. You can
give Disney a call and explain the situation to them and they should be able to do a deeper dive to see if Stich happened to do anything to his account that may be preventing you from linking plans. If so, they should be able to quickly fix the issue and get you back to the fun of planning for your upcoming trip to the parks.
I am sure you already have plenty to do, but if you are still looking for a few ideas, I would have to suggest taking your parents over to EPCOT for the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. There you will be able to stroll through much of the newly updated park with some delicious food and drink offerings. You will also have the pleasure of experiencing so many cool art exhibits through the park and even an option to be a part of some!
