Hi Brian,
Disney World is the perfect way for your daughter to bond with her grandma. There is nothing better than those core memories made while trying a new ride, meeting your favorite character, or sitting down to try an adventurous meal.
You already did the hard work by making sure that your mother and daughter are linked on
My Disney Experience. If they are linked, she will be able to purchase
Lightning Lane Passes for them, make dining, reservations, and manage her ticket if needed. You do not have to do anything else to get her ready for the trip except maybe to pack her favorite snacks and give grandma the all-clear to spoil her for an extra magical day!
I recommend trying to grab them a dining reservation for lunch or an early dinner. When we travel with both my parents and my kids, I find that at least one of them is exhausted by late afternoon. Having a dining reservation gives them a relaxing place to go cool off and get some extra energy to power through the rest of the day. My favorite spot for a mid-day lunch at Magic Kingdom is
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. You can usually get a last-minute reservation, the food is delicious, and it is conveniently located near most areas in Magic Kingdom. If quick service is more your speed, we also love stopping at
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe because the food is really good and there are always a lot of indoor places to sit down and relax.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
