Angie from NC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Can you still make your own candles at Grand Floridian? What about the art class at Crockett's Craft Corner?

Howdy, Angie, and welcome to the wildest panel in the wilderness - planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the riverbend, and it sounds like you're hankering to tap into your inner artist while you're here.

At Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, the current offering is Crockett's Craft Corner held at Pioneer Hall on most Tuesdays at 11:30 AM. I recently made a large wooden sign here using stencils and paint, and my finished masterpiece is proudly displayed in my media room. My favorites, Chip 'N' Dale, adorn my sign, and I smile every single time I look at it.

A fabulous bonus is that you can bring along a pal to help oversee your artwork, and both of you can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks. While pricing is subject to change, it's currently around $89 plus tax.

You can book this experience up to 60 days in advance by calling the Tours and Recreation line. Since your vacation is coming up, I recommend calling them as soon as possible. I'm wishing on a star that you can make your own grin-inducing art!

I'm also happy to report that guests can create marvelously scented candles at Basin White at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I recently visited this shop and came away with some heavenly bath bombs. My pal Shantel offers some tips on making the perfect candle and getting it home in this fabulous answer.

You cannot book this experience in advance, and it might be subject to availability. If you're not staying at The Grand Floridian, my tip is to ride the monorail over on a day you're enjoying Magic Kingdom Park for a sweet-smelling midday break. You can store your unique candle in a locker to keep it cool while you head back for more theme park fun.

Angie, I hope you're able to rustle up some souvenirs to treasure. Please stop by planDisney anytime. Yee-haw!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
