Welcome aboard, Theresa! Planning a cruise with Disney is really exciting, especially when you're adding a few days to explore the Walt Disney World resort too!
The best way to begin is to choose a month you'd like to sail. Then play around with the
cruise planning tools on Disney Cruise Line's website. There you can select your month, length of cruise, itinerary and ship and get price quotes. Because Disney offers so many different itineraries, ships, sail lengths and stateroom options, you're sure to find one that best fits your budget. Keep in mind that so much is
included in the cost of your cruise!
I'd recommend staying at the Walt Disney World Resort prior to sailing. My family loves to explore the parks, but it does require a lot of walking and can wear you about by the time it's time to go. So, having a relaxing cruise to enjoy after your time at the parks is something to look forward to! You can keep going with activity after activity if you'd like or simply relax by the pool while the kiddos enjoy the Youth Clubs. It's up to you! Plus, you'll be headed out to exciting ports of call, all while only having to unpack once!
Disney Cruise Line's agents are happy to assist you with Walt Disney World reservations if you'd like to do it all together. Call them at 800-951-3532. They can also reserve ground transfers for you between the resort and Port Canaveral for an additional cost. I promise it's worth it to let Disney take care of all of the details with this transportation, as it makes your transition from land to sea and back again very easy!
Have fun planning, Theresa!
