About Me
My first experience with Disney Cruise Line (DCL) was seeing the Disney Wonder sail past as I was onboard another cruise line. My daughter, who was 2 at the time, turned to me and said, "Mommy! I want to cruise with Mickey Mouse!" At that point, I knew we would have to begin planning our first Disney cruise. Little did we know how much more magical a Disney cruise could be. Since then, DCL has been the only cruise line for us! I am a busy homeschooling mom from Ohio. Our family loves to travel, but it can get expensive, so I've learned the best ways to make the most of our Disney dollars!
About My Family
I grew up in Ohio and spent four years in Southern California right after college, bringing home many Disneyland souvenirs for friends and family. But the best souvenir I brought back to the Midwest was my Southern California husband. We now have two amazing children who think that everyone should experience Disney as much as they do. We get back to Southern California to visit family quite often, and (as any Disney-lover knows) you can't be within a half-hour of Disneyland and NOT spend a few days in the parks each time. We've explored both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort many times since the kids were infants, but our favorite vacations are our Disney cruises. Having sailed many times with not only my immediate family, but also with our extended family, I can tell you from experience that a Disney cruise is the perfect, multi-generational family experience!
About My Disney Experience
My husband and I share amazing memories of Disneyland Resort, and dreamed of the day we'd take our children there. Many Disney trips and cruises later, our kids helped us apply for HGTV's "My Yard Goes Disney." Because of our love for Disney Cruise Line, we were chosen to have our backyard renovated based on the Disney Fantasy cruise ship! Since we can't live on the ships, this is the next best thing for Disney cruise fans like us! I didn't get to experience a cruise until I was in my 30s, so being able to provide not only a cruise — but the DCL experience — to my children is such a blessing for our entire family. I am thrilled to be able to share my knowledge and experience of Disney Cruise Line with your family, in hopes that you, too, will make magical family memories onboard one of Disney's Pixie-Dusted ships.
