Greetings, Ally, and welcome to planDisney! I love that you're interested in going to the
Oogie Boogie Bash. This special event is the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit. I'm really looking forward to taking my kids this year!
At the time of writing this, there hasn't been a 2026 date published for general admission tickets to go on sale. We do know that a limited number of presale tickets will be available for
Magic Key holders – that will be June 16 for Inspire Key holders and June 17 for all Magic Key holders. If last year is any indication, the tickets may go on sale for everyone the following day, on June 18. However, we won't know for sure until a date is officially announced. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disneyland website and
Instagram account as that's where the information will be shared. I'd also keep checking the
Disney Parks Blog for additional Halloween Time announcements.
While you wait for the sale details, head to the
Disneyland Resort website to view the 2026 event dates. You'll also find costume guidelines and other important information.
Here are some of my favorite things about the Oogie Boogie Bash:
- There are treat trails throughout the park where you'll encounter music, decorations, and even villains on the way to collecting candy. Allergy-friendly treats are usually available upon request, too. I typically come home with so much!
- This is a great opportunity to see Characters who you may not usually encounter in the parks. My absolute favorite from 2025 was Ernesto de la Cruz, who gave quite a performance. I hope he returns to the event this year.
- Costumes are allowed at Oogie Boogie Bash, provided they follow the costume guidelines. It is a fun opportunity to dress up and be creative!
- Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is so enchanting with peak Halloween vibes. Picture glowing lights, special effects, and an overall mythical atmosphere.
- There's usually special entertainment. Keep an eye out for the Headless Horseman in the Frightfully Fun Parade!
Another thing you can do while you wait is start planning your visit. If you want to be at the park all day long, you'll need a standard theme park ticket (or Magic Key Pass) and a theme park reservation. In past years, Guests with Oogie Boogie Bash tickets have been able to enter California Adventure a few hours early.
Ally, I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
