Hello, My family and I are going to be sailing on the Disney Wish 10/30-11/2. Which nights will Pirate Night and the Mouse-querade be on? Will the Mouse-querade be on Halloween for this sailing? Also, what do you recommend packing for this trip? Thanks!

Ahoy, Jessica, and welcome to planDisney! You have quite an exciting adventure ahead. A Halloween on the High Seas cruise is so much fun, and the Disney Wish is such a beautiful ship. Let's talk about what you can look forward to during this spirited sailing and how to approach packing.

The schedule is subject to change, but it currently looks like Day 2 (Oct. 31) will be quite eventful, with Mickey's Mouse-querade, trick-or-treating, and Pirate Night all in the lineup. It may be that the Halloween celebration will be earlier in the afternoon, while the swashbuckling activities of Pirate Night will commence in the evening. You'll be able to confirm this in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board the ship and connect to the Wi-Fi.

In the app, you'll also find details about other onboard activities, such as crafts, meet-and-greets with Disney Characters, silent disco, trivia, karaoke, and much more!

When it comes to packing, Disney Cruise Line has a helpful guide that outlines attire and accessories you might want to bring, as well as items to set aside in a carry-on bag for embarkation day. If you like the idea of dressing up, pack a Halloween costume and a Pirate Night outfit. I also typically bring portable chargers and cables, a reusable water bottle, something to read, and a bag to keep wet swimsuits in. Here's another tip: Leave some extra room in your luggage or pack an extra bag if you plan to purchase souvenirs on board. Be sure to review the list of prohibited and restricted items to avoid packing anything that may be confiscated, such as surge protectors and extension cords.

Jessica, I hope you have the most spectacular time on your Bahamian cruise. If you think of any other questions between now and embarkation day, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    Smooth sailing ahead,
