We want to be one of the first in the parking lot tomorrow for Hollywood studios. We are staying at Art of Animation but want to drive. What time should we get there? Thanks!

Hi Jordan, welcome to planDisney! I’m excited to hear that you’ll be exploring Andy’s backyard and walking among Stormtroopers tomorrow! I “rope dropped” Hollywood Studios last month (which helped me ride Rise of the Resistance with a short wait!), so I totally understand wanting to be one of the first in the parking lot.

The parking lots open one hour before the theme parks open, and I confirmed with a Cast Member that this means one hour before Early Theme Park Entry. Since you’re staying at a Disney World resort hotel, you can get into the theme parks 30 minutes early! Slinky Dog Dash and Rise of the Resistance typically have some of the longest wait times, so my family likes to head to one of those rides first.

When you park, don’t forget about the complimentary Car Locator feature in the My Disney Experience app. I’m usually so excited to be there that it’s easy to forget where I parked. With the Car Locator feature, you can quickly record your parking spot, making it a breeze to find your car at the end of a long day!

During your day at Hollywood Studios, if you’ll be joining the bounty hunters and smugglers at the local Batuu watering hole, Oga’s Cantina, don’t miss the new menu offerings. My favorite is the Thruster Roasted Bantha Flatbread, but there are also a few new cocktails and mocktails as well.

I hope you have a day filled with adventure tomorrow. And don’t forget, you always have a friend in me at planDisney!
