Seasons greetings, Alexandra! It's Christmas Day, so if you plan to be festive, I can't think of a better place than
Disney's Hollywood Studios. You'll be surrounded by swanky holiday decor and yuletide touches around every red-carpeted corner. It sounds like Santa and his reindeer will be dropping you off at the gate in style, so let's look at how the process works at this star-studded theme park. On Dasher and Dancer...
Whether your Santa is driving his sleigh or a rideshare vehicle, he'll let the parking gate attendant know he's there to drop off guests and not park. They'll direct you from there, and you'll follow signs to the dropoff zone—no chimneys necessary.
When my husband dropped me off a few months ago, the designated spot was near the
Disney Skyliner station, but a pal told me the location is closer to the
bus stop area now. Even though the exact spot can vary depending on the time of year and crowds, it will typically be close to the park entrance. That way, the paparazzi won't see you dashing in!
I hope you stay for the
Sunset Seasons Greetings projection show at the Hollywood Tower Hotel. I can't think of a more perfect way to end this most magical day of the year. And watch for a special appearance by the Big Guy in Red. When I visited on Christmas Eve a few years ago, Santa came tooling around Echo Lake in a vintage car! You never know what holiday pixie dust will come sprinkling down.
Alexandra, this is the last question I'll answer as a planDisney panelist for a while. Like the Disney films of old, I'll be spending some time in the vault. You can picture me enjoying a
Pineapple DOLE Whip®
to pass the time. Please enjoy your holly-jolly day in the parks, and stop by
planDisney anytime. My panelist pals will be thrilled to help you.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
