Hi there Cathy!
Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you brought us a question today and am happy to assist.
As I'm sure you know a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is not only magical and memorable, but it's a pretty great way to get your daily step count up too. I actually just returned from a whirlwind 36-hour visit and logged tons of steps in and out of the parks during my trip. My feet sure were glad to rest while riding to and from our
Disney Resorts Collection hotel via complimentary bus transportation each day.
It sounds like you'll be utilizing your own transportation and you'll be glad to know that the
parking lot trams have returned to all of the theme parks. They sure were missed while the service was paused, but guests can now once again feel like Cinderella riding to the ball as they are driven between the parking lot and the park's main entrance (or the Transportation and Ticket Center for Magic Kingdom Park visits) at the start and end of their park days.
I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that the courtesy trams begin running about an hour before park opening and will continue running until about 2 hours after park closing. You can expect to see them about every 5-8 minutes, but sometimes more frequently. Just be sure to utilize the
Car Locator in your
My Disney Experience App to keep track of where you parked your own pumpkin carriage each day.
I'd also like to mention that standard theme park parking is complimentary for guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels, but if you aren't staying on-site you'll be able to park for one fee per day. This is especially handy if you plan to hop between parks. Just save your receipt when you arrive at your second destination and you won't have to pay for parking a second time.
I hope this was helpful Cathy. If you have additional planning questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Wishing you magic and memories until then!
Amy
