I just purchased a Fl resident annual pass and have the email certificate to take to guest services for activation. Am I going to be required to pay for parking the day I activate since I won't yet have my pass?

Welcome to planDisney, Susan, and a Mickey-sized congratulations on becoming an Annual Passholder! I'm a Florida resident, and my Disney Pixie Dust Pass has become my most prized possession. You are going to love the perks and benefits. Welcome to the family!

I spoke to a friendly Cast Member named Sampson who said you should be able to park for free after showing the email certificate and your ID to the parking attendant. It's always up to their discretion, so have your pass and ID handy when you arrive.

If you've downloaded the My Disney Experience Mobile App, you should also have evidence of your Annual Pass when you tap the Tickets and Passes tile.

Once parked, you can head to Guest Relations at any theme park entrance to activate your pass. Remember to bring the appropriate documentation to prove Florida Residency, and you'll be breezing along as a passholder before you know it!

My favorite way to activate my pass is to go to Disney Springs on the evening I arrive. Parking is always complimentary there, and I can easily activate my pass at the Disney Ticket Center. They'll need the same documentation, and the best part is that Gideon's Bakehouse is just around the corner. Nothing says congratulations on your new pass like a freshly baked Peanut Butter Crunch Cookie!

Susan, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and orange juice so your passholder activation goes smoothly when you visit Walt Disney World Resort. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
