    do you offer travel insurance?

    Hiya, Andrea! Welcome to planDisney!

Your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is fast approaching, Andrea. It’ll be here before you know it! Sometimes life happens and unexpected events can derail your travel plans. Travel insurance can certainly add some peace of mind during the planning process. Like Scar would say, be prepared! He wasn’t a very good brother, but it’s hard to argue with that sentiment!

To answer your question, Andrea, yes. You can purchase a Travel Protection Plan for eligible trips any time prior to your final payment. You can purchase the Travel Protection Plan when making a new reservation. Simply select “Add Travel Protection” at the time of booking. If you’d like to add the plan to an existing reservation, follow these steps:

    1. From the welcome page on the Walt Disney World Resort website, navigate to the My Disney Experience tab and select “My Plans & Tickets.”

    2. Find the reservation you want to purchase the Travel Protection Plan for, and select the “Change Reservation” link next to your reservation.

    3. Scroll down to see if your trip is eligible for a Travel Protection Plan. If it is, the “Add” link will be available.

    4. From there, simply select “Add” and follow the prompts.

If you prefer to speak with a Cast Member, you can also add the Travel Protection Plan to your reservation by calling Walt Disney World Resort directly at (407) 939-5277. A friendly Cast Member will be more than happy to help you add the Travel Protection Plan to your reservation, if possible.

You’re visiting at one of my favorite times of year at Walt Disney World, Andrea. There are so many great offerings around the resort. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing. Disney Parks Blog usually releases a Foodie Guide in the weeks leading up to the festival. We should see it very soon! It’ll highlight all of the available eats and sips at the various Global Marketplaces around the park. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is also held on select evenings at Magic Kingdom. It’s a frightfully fun time and I highly recommend it!

I hope you’ve found this information helpful, Andrea! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your visit, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at planDisney. We’re always happy to help!

    See you real soon!
